What’s actually changed?
Online casinos licensed in the UK must now cap wagering requirements at a maximum of 10x. This is a landmark shift toward transparency and player protection.
The Math: Why the 10x Cap Matters
The difference between the “Old World” and the 2026 rules is staggering. It fundamentally changes how much of your winnings you actually get to keep.

Just a little word of warning – Even with a 10x cap, operators can effectively increase wagering through game weighting. For example, if roulette only counts for 10%, a 10x bonus effectively becomes a 100x bonus for a roulette player.
