My Online Casino Predictions for 2025

Throughout 2024, the online casino scene in the UK underwent some major changes, which I discussed at length in my last post on the Comparasino blog. 

While it’s good to look back and reflect, I’m more for looking ahead towards some of the exciting developments that will impact online casinos over the coming 12 months. 

So here are my five big online casino predictions for 2025. 

1 – More casinos will offer instant withdrawals 

One of the biggest pain points players face at online casinos is delays in getting their winnings. 

This is usually not the fault of the casino, which can have its hands tied due to things like having to verify your ID, waiting for the bank to clear funds and even weekends slowing the process down. 

The good news is that most casinos offer payment options that facilitate fast withdrawals including digital wallets like PayPal and Neteller plus mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. 

But more brands are now embracing the latest payment technologies in the form of instant banking, which is provided by companies like Trustly, TrueLayer and Vyne. 

These payment providers connect your bank account directly to the casino’s bank account which in turn allows for instant deposits and instant withdrawals.

This uncertainty has now mostly passed following the publication of a long-anticipated white paper last year with operators now able to justify the investment required to launch their brands in the UK.
