Comparasino talks to Ray Lee, Director of Business Development, TaDa Gaming, to find out how the studio is localising content for the UK market
TaDa Gaming recently announced it had secured the necessary approvals to launch its games to players in the UK. This is a bold play by the provider, who has found success in international markets such as Brazil and the US.
But things are different on this side of the pond, and TaDa Gaming is going to have to really understand player preferences in the UK if its slots are to top the charts at online casinos.
This is a challenge the provider is willing to embrace, so to learn more about its plans for the UK, we spoke to Ray Lee, Director of Business Development, TaDa Gaming.
Congratulations on securing your UK Gambling Commission licence. Why is now the right moment for TaDa to enter the UK market?
Thank you! We are delighted to have cleared multiple UK-specific technical and compliance audits—including RNG, information security and responsible gaming certifications, which now allow us to operate in the UK. This licence is more than a legal gateway for us; it is a seal of trust that validates our long-standing “quality-first, compliance-driven” strategy that has seen us enjoy success in other regulated jurisdictions where we also hold licences.
As we show through our proven performance across major global markets, our content pipeline and operational model are market-ready, so this is the perfect time to engage with UK players and partners through our original and innovative content and approach.
We are confident that our diverse and expertly glocalised portfolio, from engaging slots to our unique fish-shooting titles, will offer originality, gamification and a significant level of differentiation to appeal to the established and sophisticated UK gaming market.
You just mentioned “glocalisation.” What does that mean in practice?
Let me explain by way of example and with our strong presence in Brazil. This has been achieved through multiple partnerships with key local and national operators. Working with companies such as Brazzino 777, Cactus Gaming, SalsaGator and BetConnections has given us deep, first-hand insights into local player behaviour.
Brazilian players favour fast-paced gameplay with frequent hits and instant gratification; they show limited enthusiasm for Free Game bonus rounds that interrupt the action. When adapting global titles for Brazil, we focus precisely on incorporating the features that resonate locally, be it high hit rates, vibrant visuals or punchy effects, and build promotional assets, campaign pacing and KOL briefs around those points.
In short, glocalisation means developing globally, but “speaking” in unmistakably local terms for instant recognition, acceptance and connection. And we will be taking this approach in the UK, too.
Can you share any localisation success stories?
Two very different ones include Lucky Jaguar and Fortune Zombie. Lucky Jaguar is a purpose-built slot for Brazil that soared to the top of multiple platforms during its launch month, recording above-average bet-per-user and rounds-per-user.

Lucky Jaguar from Tada Gaming
Our previous slot release, Fortune Gems, held a record-breaking top spot, but Lucky Jaguar hit 33%+ of Fortune Gems’ Daily Active User (DAU) figures within one month. Retention increased by 50%+; session length extended by nearly 30%; and increased rounds played up 20%, with figures still rising eight months later.
The key success factors were: localised gameplay—high-frequency wins with dynamic animations, avoiding Free Game dependence to keep excitement uninterrupted; localised visuals—an Aztec tropical-jungle palette and totem motifs that echo Brazil’s energetic aesthetic and audio with Latin percussion layers enhancing immersion and rhythm, giving players a sensory hit that connected.
In addition, by using idiomatic translation, especially for the rules, but overall, “speaking the whole language” that Brazilian players understand, Lucky Jaguar became a flagship example of effective localisation.
In the US, with our fish-shooting game, Fortune Zombie, effective localisation also created a significant impact. Taking the action to the classic American streetscape and major train stations, this combination of recognition, authenticity and action in a truly cinematic experience produced an instant hit.
Within three months of launch, Fortune Zombie saw average bet volumes between 3x and 10x the norm and a staggering 3,000+ average rounds per player, per session. For comparison, in other markets, the top fish-shooting releases currently see an average of 1,300 rounds per player per session, making this instant acceptance by players unprecedented.
From the avatar-led tutorial to the multiple new features, innovation in weapons and power-ups, fantastical designs and multiple different ways to win, applying the local research to ensure we connected with all the touchpoints that affect US players has seen great success.
For newcomers to TaDa titles, what sets your games apart?
Beyond polished design, immersive themes and smooth performance, our differentiator is a data-driven content-refinement loop: we prioritise real-time tracking, which includes continuous monitoring of player cohorts, bet structures, dwell times and hit frequencies. Audience segmentation is key, so we use player-profile modelling with first-party data to deliver precisely targeted offers and events.
Rapid iteration involves routing insights straight back to art, maths and operations teams for agile balancing; and this closed feedback system keeps every release tightly aligned with evolving market preferences. This means we can be confident that we are releasing the games that players not only want to play but keep returning to, reinforcing our reputation for enhanced engagement and retention figures.
What can we expect from TaDa in the UK over the next few months—any highlights?
We have a very full programme scheduled for our UK entry. Phase One will introduce a curated set of familiar UK-friendly formats and themes—classic reels, intuitive mechanics and locally appealing art—to establish brand recognition quickly. Market validation then follows: within 30-60 days, we will harvest real-market data, segment player cohorts and immediately fine-tune our second-wave roadmap.
For our Strategic Upgrade strategy, this will see new theme development, influencer partnerships and bespoke reward mechanics, all derived from that first data loop. By cycling through “agile launch → data readback → rapid iteration”, we plan to deliver a constantly refreshing entertainment portfolio that truly fits the UK audience, including some very exciting new fish-shooting concepts.
